College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Won the Honorary Titles of Top Ten Websites and Advanced Unit in News and Publicity Work
The recently-issued document, On the Decisions to Give Commendations to the Advanced Unit and Individual in News and Publicity Work in the Year of 2017 by the publicity department of the university’s Party Committee marked a fruitful result in the news and publicity work of Chemical college in the last year. College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering was awarded the Advanced Unit in News and Publicity work of Henan University in 2017 and its website was rated as the Top Ten Websites of Henan University in 2017. Meanwhile, Wang Lujuan, a teacher of the Chemical school, was honored with the Advanced Individual in News Work in 2017 and the honorary title of Excellent Correspondent was bestowed on a student named Li Congcong.
The Party Committee of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering which has fully been committed to implement the guiding principles from General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major speeches, promote the internet communication of the core socialist values and encourage the teachers and students to create quality campus cultures and carry out theme educational activities since 2017, has made great contribution to create good online atmosphere for the construction of “Double First-rate” and improve the influence of the website and positive energy cultural products.
Guided by the guiding principles from General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major speeches and the spirit of the 19th Party Congress which provides powerful spiritual motivation, ideological guarantee and public opinion support, the news and publicity department of the Chemical college , promotes the news and publicity work and builds a nice image for the college, through attaching great importance to improve the subjectivity and timeliness of the news.
00001. In last year’s news and publicity work within the Chemical college, three things has been achieved through the hard work of the industrious people who engaged in this project. First, optimized the function of its website. College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering further optimized its website by timely updating and completing the news and announcements on the website and adding special columns which is abundant in content and close to chemistry such as alumni, quality curriculum, chemical research, and scientific research institution; Second, strengthened the responsibility system and promoted the normalization and institutionalization of the news and publicity work. The New media center, a functional department affiliated to the Student Union of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, has three subordinate bodies, namely Communication Department, Technology Department and Internet Publicity Department. Paying great attention to the news and publicity work, all of the departments worked in concerted effort to cover and deliver news timely. Due to the clear division of work within every departments, their work efficiency remained pretty high. Third, expanded the depth and width of the news and publicity work. The news published last year has reached the total number of one hundred and eighty-seven with fifty-two on the university website and one hundred and thirty-five on the college website. In addition, the Party Committee creatively gave publicity to the work within the college by new medias such as Wechat, Blog and QQ.
In 2018, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering will remain proactive and innovative in advertising and implementation of the spirit of the 19th Party Comgress and the core socialist values. Meanwhile, the Chemical college will pay attention to the the timeliness of news and innovate new ways for news covering to promote the news work staying in an advanced state.
