Engineering Research Center for Industrial Circulating Water Utilization of Henan Province
Engineering Research Center for Industrial Circulating Water Treatment of Henan Province was approved by Provincial Science and Technology Department and established on December, 2015, its predecessor was Heibei Tianhong Water Treatment Center of Henan University founded in 2012 and approved as Kaifeng Key Laboratory of Industrial Circulating Water and Treatment in 2013. Relying on the humanities and discipline advantages of Henan University, the center has committed to the research of industrial circulating water treatment and control and made progress in the aspects of the development of new green effective water treatment agents,water treatment projects, equipment and intelligence control in recent years. So far, the center has published over 140 academic papers in academic journal, such as Desalination and J. Mater. Chem, gained 28 National Natural Science Fund longitudinal projects, and 4 ongoing horizontal projects (the fund is 8.44million Yuan) and claimed 24 patents. Part of those results achieve industrial transformation and obtain economic benefits.
There are 26 full-time and part-time researchers working in this center, including 6 professors, 8 associate professors and 12 postgraduates and Ph.D. candidates. The center covers an area of 2000 square meters, including 4 R&D laboratories, 1 key laboratory for environment and health (Zhengzhou Institute of Technology), 2 pilot base (Zhengzhou Jinshi and Heibei Tianhong), 1 precision instrument laboratory, 1 laboratory for scale-up experiment technology, 1 dynamic simulation laboratory (under construction) and 1 incubation base for achievements industrialization (Dehao Pioneer Park);the center adopts the advanced operational mechanism, applies the development thoughts of combination of industry, university and research, integrates the social resource actively and establishes a complete engineering development platform from primary and secondary experiments to industrial experiments.
Under the aim of serving the development strategy of our province, the center will become a strong provincial-level science and technology service platform with the integration of technology research and development, engineering evaluation, project design, program management and commissioning operation, and the comprehensive development of government, industry, university and research.
